Anngelicgrl

For my senior showcase, I created a cohesive brand system that would stand out to potential employers and authentically represent who I am. My goal was to create memorable materials that showcase my technical skills and personality.

I developed this project independently from concept through production, working as a strategist and designer. My approach was to create a brand with a strong personality and narrative depth, values I believe are important for effective design. The name “Anngelicgrl” is my graphic design pseudonym that plays off my name, Ann. The brand identity uses a Y2K aesthetic to reflect my personal style and design sensibility. My design strategy helped me transform a silly nickname into a memorable identity.

I designed professional assets such as my resume, cover letter, and a thank you card to be handed out to prospective employers. Additionally, I created a postcard and stickers as freebies. I also decorated my childhood CD player and designed a CD album, compiling my favorite songs into a curated playlist, to reinforce the Y2K concept and share more about my personal taste.

The brand system successfully differentiated my booth at the senior showcase, with the nostalgic elements generating positive engagement from visitors. Even months after the event, creative professionals remembered me through my distinctive branding. I was able to create practical tools for my professional networking while staying true to my personal identity.
